Senior government official speeding drunk in state vehicle arrested

After a dramatic speed chase, the official was eventually cornered and arrested.

In the vehicle, RTI found another intoxicated male and a 17 year old female

The official was also found in possession of a firearm which was also immediately taken away by the RTI Team.

The official is facing the following charges

● Drunk Driving.
●Exceeding the Speed limit.
●Failing to Stop.
●Reckless Driving.
●Possession of a firearm. whilst under the influence.

Bail was denied and he was detained at Scottburgh Police Station.
