Stolen Vehicle Recovered Following Coordinated Marshall Security and Matrix Tracking Efforts

On 28 December, a silver Toyota Corolla Cross was reported stolen in the Malvern area at approximately 12h00 midday. A case of theft of a motor vehicle was subsequently opened with Malvern SAPS.

Later that evening, at approximately 21h00, Marshall Security’s Special Operations Team (SOT) received updated intelligence from Matrix Tracking indicating the possible location of the stolen vehicle in the Phoenix area. Acting immediately on this information, Marshall SOT members mobilised to the last known location on Fernham Drive.

As officers approached the area, they spotted the stolen vehicle parked on the side of the road. Two male suspects were observed at the vehicle, attempting to cover a broken window with a plastic bag.

Members approached and apprehended the two suspects and recovered the stolen vehicle.

Phoenix SAPS arrived on scene a short while later and transported the suspects, together with the stolen vehicle, for further investigation and processing.

This successful recovery highlights the effectiveness of intelligence-led operations and the strong collaboration between Marshall Security SOT, Matrix Tracking, and SAPS in recovering stolen vehicles and holding offenders accountable.
