The family of Pat Mthembu (54), who was killed yesterday in a tractor accident on a farm, has contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) this morning (Sunday).

While speaking with Reaction Officers, the family expressed their conviction that Mthembu was murdered and placed under the tyre of the vehicle, providing several reasons to support this claim.

The following information was provided by his sister.

Pat Mthembu, a single father of three (3), was called from his home in Driefontien, Isinembe - KZN, yesterday (Saturday) to assist with a tractor. At approximately 13:15, his family received images from his own mobile phone and a call informing them that he had died in a tractor accident.

The family is adamant that he was murdered and placed under the tractor tyre. They pointed out that it was unusual for him to be called out, as he is not a mechanic.

Additionally, they noted that his phone was used to call them and send images after his death, and that he had a unique password pattern that was impossible for his colleagues to know.

Upon arriving at the scene, the family found that the tractor had already been removed. However, after examining the images, they discovered blood on his boots.

The jack holding up the tractor was still in place and seemed to be lowered over his head.

The family is convinced that Pat Mthembu was murdered and is requesting witnesses to make contact with Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA).
